Green Party Picnic and Potluck

Sunday, May 17th 3PM-7PM

2521 N Mozart, Chicago, IL 60647 - Go around to the right side of the house to the backyard.

In the last three months we’ve rebranded our organization, launched a new, open-source, Drupal-based website (www.logansquaregreens.org), and kicked off a precinct-by-precinct campaign to get public referenda on health care and political reform.

Canvassing Underway

We have started canvassing for the following referenda questions:
Please join us as we petition to place two referendum questions on the ballot:

Question 1: Do you believe health care is a basic human right and that it should be provided regardless of ability to pay?

Question 2: Do you support contribution and spending limits for political campaigns?

The weather is beautiful, and it's a great way to spend some time outdoors getting to know your neighbors, community, and local Green Party.

Congratulations Matt Reichel!

The Illinois Green Party congratulates Matt Reichel, who earned 34% of the vote to win yesterday's Special Primary in the 5th Congressional District.

Runners up include Deb Gordils (32%), Mark Fredrickson (14%), Alan Auguston (13%) and Simon Ribeiro (1%).

The outcome of the primary had been uncertain until this afternoon, when the Chicago Board of Election completed its unofficial count of seven precincts where data cartridges failures had prevented counting on primary day.
