Grow Democracy in Chicago!
Primary season is over, and now it's that time in Illinois politics where new parties and independents petition to get on the ballot for the general election in November.
Of course, the Green Party isn't a new party. We routinely take percentages larger than the Republicans do in Chicago. But restrictive, anti-democracy laws force us to collect two to ten times as many signatures as the Democrats and Republicans for various offices.
